OBSESSIONS VOL. 4: BEYONCE'S VISUAL ALBUM
Unless you live under a rock, you've probably heard the good news. Beyoncé, without warning, released an album last Friday. Not only is the album itself genius but she also added an unexpected element to the album- visuals. With every track, there was a music video to go along with it.. And not just a music video, a masterpiece. Every video was eye candy, especially in terms of her wardrobe and makeup. Here are my favorite looks.

OBSESSIONS, VOL. 3, LISA FRANK
I never grew up.
No really, I'm a big 5-year-old.
When I was little, I became obsessed with Lisa Frank. And I don't mean, I liked her stuff and that was that. I mean OBSESSED, as in a paid membership to the Lisa Frank Club, a subscription to her magazine, over 80 exclusive Lisa Frank items, multiple visits to an actual Lisa Frank store, a contest entry (and runner up winner) for her biggest fan and multiple days spent at my grandparent's country club pool waiting, because I heard a rumor that the actual Lisa Frank, the woman herself, was a member there.
Yeah, I don't take my colorful, candy-like accessories lightly. Recently, I've gotten waaaay, way back into the wonderful, bubblegum place that is Lisaland.
Me and my beloved "Hunter" stuffed animal (that I still sleep with every night.. Yes, every night)
FUN FACT: When Lisa Frank married, her husband had the last name "Green" so she named her two sons Hunter Green and Forest Green (like the colors?) and then had them be the basis for her leopard characters. Don't ask me how I know that.
My senior photo for the yearbook. I thought it was appropriate.
P.S. Notice a change regarding my hair?

OBSESSIONS, VOL. 2: SHIRO COSMETICS
I have never been vegan. I have never been interested in becoming vegan, nor will I ever be...
I simply love meat too damn much.
However, I do love a vegan beauty product.
Through some meaningless late-night tumbling, I found a popular text post about an independent cosmetics company called, Shiro Cosmetics. The entire company is run by 21-year-old Caitlin, a self-proclaimed geek who prides herself on her vegan, cruelty-free cosmetics. What has made her company so noteworthy though is the sense of humor that comes with the products. I mean, where else can you find shades dedicated to Nic Cage raking leaves on a brisk October afternoon or Doctor Who's trusty Tardis?
I decided that I simply had to test out a few of her products. At only $1 for sample size (1/4 of a teaspoon), how could I resist? I wound up ordering 5 samples (may I mention that I also got a free one included, plus a caramel?).
The colors I chose are Alkahestry, The Truth, The Wandering Wizard, Ever in Your Favor, Lingered in Twilight, and Equivalent Exchange as a bonus.
Here are the shades sampled on my skin. I used both flash and natural sunlight to give you a full idea of these shadows and their color payoff.
MOTHER MERCY, LET ME SAY THIS.
THESE PRODUCTS ARE GOD.
The shadow is silky light, the color payoff is excellent and the colors themselves are gorgeous. I am absolutely obsessed with the glitter in these products too. The shadows are positively luminescent.
I can honestly say, although I am a tried and true MAC girl, Shiro Cosmetics cannot be beat.
I can't wait to order again! Shiro, you've got yourself a fan girl!
